This mission is deeply personal. Florida offers limited protections for grandparents’ rights. While grandparents may seeks a visitation, if a parent objects, there is often little legal recourse for for them. My grandchildren were adopted by a non-relative without proper due process, and decisions were made using information that was not fully verified. I am speaking up to bring awareness — so other families do not have to endure the same pain.
I am currently representing myself, and the reason I cook with the passion I do is simple — I am fighting for my family.
Every dollar earned through my catering helps me continue this journey: working to secure an attorney and challenge an illegal adoption that occurred through fraud. I also need legal representation for my active appeal in the Sixth District Court of Appeal, as well as my federal case involving agencies and individuals connected to my situation in Lake County, Florida.
It is not easy to find an attorney willing to take on a fight like this, especially when it involves state-connected organizations — but I refuse to give up.
I will keep cooking. I will keep promoting. And I will keep fighting.

I shared an unbreakable bond with my daughter and grandchildren. I cut their umbilical cords and embraced being called Nana. After my daughter passed away, DCF in Lake County adopted my grandchildren to a non-relative without proper due process. I am fighting to rebuild what was taken and bring awareness for grandfamilies.
After losing my daughter, we lost our income while battling for my grandchildren. With nothing but faith and determination, we began cooking from a vacant gas station. Our home-cooked meals grew into a brand, then a food truck, recognized across Central Florida. Every success fuels our continued fight.
